According to the Sunday London times a 1999 study showed that birds sleep with one eye open and half their brain asleep. They alternate the eye and the side of the brain to be completely rested and protected by morning. Human beings lack this ability in protecting and resting themselves.
So we have adapted in another way, we need each other to form a community and to participate in giving each other mutal rest and protection. So if this is our way of surviving, why are we less connected and less supportive of each other. Is it possible that we are losing our focus to survive? (more…)
