When you are setting up your items for sale on an auction site you must stay aware of fees. These little charges for pictures, insertion of the actual item, and little additional extras can add up. The “nickel and dime” effect is very subtle, but can really hit into your profit margin. If done right these little extras are fun options for those looking to spice up a listing. I recommend using these for items of substantial value so that you can attract the most potential bidders, and subsequently getting the highest winning bid possible. Also, if you have a “store” with similar items you can feature a great listing with bells and whistles in an attempt to attract traffic into your store. This works really well.
Here are just a few of the cool things you can add on to your listing:
Bold – make the listing description in bold script.
Highlight – highlight the entire listing in a purple that stands out.
Boarder – a colored boarder surrounds your listing to separate it from others.
Extra large picture – larger than normal pictures are featured in your listing.
Featured item – your item will always be featured on the top of every page associated with your listing.
Have an auction for more than 7 days, and up to 10 days – extends the length of the auction to possibly gain more exposure and higher bids.
A few other key points to mention. eBay also takes a very small percentage of the final selling price. If you have Paypal they will take out a minuscule amount for depositing monies into your account (if you have one with them). Most people who buy and/or sell on eBay use Paypal because it is a safe and secure way to make money transactions. Some eBayers will only deal with those that have a Paypal account.

Damn, I just posted this huge comment and then when I clicked submit the dang page when all white, does this mean I have to type it out all over again guys? I hope it’s not lost for good, that took me a long time to type out…uhhh.
I just have to say this was potentially one of the most effective articles I’ve had the chance to view on the topic so far. I don’t understand where you get all of your information but up! I’m going to send some people over here to read this. Fantastic, totally awesome. I’m have just started getting into writing articles myself, nothing close to your writing potential (ha!) but I’d love for you to check out my stuff someday! bowfelx series 7 treadmill
