Pat is an award-winning writer, with six or seven Florida Press Association awards collected so far. Among her passions are the environment, animals and social justice – approached from a faith-based point of view.

“Life in Interesting Times” takes its name from the curse, “May you live in interesting times.” Pat looks at the interesting stuff, which, according to the curse, is the awful stuff — war, poverty, injustice, catastrophes and city councils. We like fun stuff and a good laugh, too.

Pat lives in DeLand with her border-collie-mix dog, Molly McGuire, and two cats, Shamu and Jack the Brat.
