Why are you the best candidate?
I am the only one in this race who will support in Congress a massive jobs program to repair our roads, bridges, and schools to get Americans back to work. Who will support increasing federal aid to state, local, and school districts to stop the laying off of needed police, fire, and school teachers. I believe we need to get unemployment below 6 percent nationwide before we can start reducing the deficit and will vote to rescind Sequestration at the end of the year and continue the Bush tax cuts to stop us from going off of the financial cliff. I am the only one who supports Social Security as it is today and believe we can save it for future generations by slightly increasing the retirement age and revenues like we did in 1983. I do not support reducing benefits or weakening Social Security like Mr. Mica or Mr. Kendall do by allowing younger workers to opt out of it and put their money into a volatile stock market.
I am in this race today because Congressman Mica helped create the mess we are in today by voting for ever Bush Budget and appropriations bill from 2001-2009 increasing the national debt from 5 trillion to 12.8 trillion. He voted for the Iraq war causing the needless death of over 4000 soldiers at a cost of over 3 trillion dollars to exchange dictators. And a Tarp Bill that bailed out the banks and left homeowners holding the bag. Once President Obama took office he joined extremists in Congress in opposing needed job programs and delaying unemployment benefits in order to defeat a democratic president. Mr. Kendall has joined Mr. Mica in support for a national sales tax of 23 cents on every dollar spent and recently supports cutting Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid benefits by supporting Simpson-Bowles Reduction act. I am a traditional Democrat and believe we need to get Americans back to work first and then tackle the national debt. I urge you to Reelect President Obama. Reelect Bill Nelson and if you want to end gridlock and a do nothing Congress Fill in the circle and write in Fred Marra for US House of Representatives District 7.
