Tracy Lunquist lives in DeLand with her husband, Mike Bakula, who is a full-time student at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
Lunquist's mother lives in Michigan, and her father lives in Arizona.
She moved to DeLand after receiving her Master of Education degree in human resources and organizational development from the University of Illinois. She is the owner of Working Magic, a DeLand business coaching and consulting practice.
Lunquist is a member of the DeLand Area Chamber of Commerce, and has served on, and as chairwoman of, the Chamber's Events Committee. She has also served on the Membership Committee and the Ambassadors Committee.
She is a 2007 graduate of Leadership DeLand.

The West Volusia Hospital Authority should devote financial resources to inform the public
5— Comment: I have yet to meet a taxpayer who disagrees that a website for the Authority is sorely needed, and that can be done well with minimal expense.
West Volusia needs more free and low-cost clinics to reduce the wait time in emergency rooms
4 — Comment: Treating patients at a clinic costs significantly less than treating them in the ER, which reduces the burden on the Authority, and thus on the taxpayers.
Homeless and indigent citizens receive adequate follow-up with physicians after they have been treated or diagnosed.
3 — Comment: The real issue here is accountability and transparency - ensuring that the healthcare providers are reporting this information to the Authority in a timely and accurate manner as a condition of payment for their services.
