William C. Hall has lived in DeLand with his wife for 13 years. He has six daughters, two stepdaughters, eight grandchildren and three stepgrandchildren.
Hall is a freelance writer and business consultant for Carder Hall Media LLC, and a columnist for The DeLand-Deltona Beacon.
He has previously worked as executive vice president and chief operating officer of Time Distribution Services - Time Warner, as vice president and marketing director for the Magazine Division of CBS Inc., and as director of general merchandise for Kroger Co. He has been a consultant for Hospice of Volusia/Flagler, The Museum of Florida Art, and the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Hospital.
Hall has served the community with several organizations, including being a founder of Interfaith Caregivers, a board member of the Agape Clubhouse and the DeLand Area Chamber of Commerce, a past chairman of the Chamber's Government Affairs Committee, and docent for The Museum of Florida Art.

Homeless and indigent citizens receive adequate follow-up with physicians after they have been treated or diagnosed.
