Members of the Orange City Shuffleboard Club held their weekly in-house competition Oct. 21, with Bob Moran, walking the court, pacing the field with a 237.
Following were Dave Shaw (wc), 229; with Barbara DeGeer and Jim McChesney tied at 219.
Members from our club who participated in the Northern District Tournament Oct. 22-23 were Pat and B. Moran, along with Stan Skylondz.
Club members are making plans to participate in the Orange City Christmas Parade Dec. 12.
The Orange City Shuffleboard Club members held their Saturday Fun Time Oct. 24.
Because of the high temperature, it was decided to play just two games, rather than the usual three. Bob Moran, walking the court, headed the field with a 158.
Just 2 points back in second place was Dave Shaw (wc) with a 156. Third place went to Roberta Mason, 130. First place was awarded a coupon from Angelina's Restaurant. Grab-bag winners were Bertha and Earl Gregory, and Helen Shaw. They received coupons from Chick-fil-A.
Monday-afternoon competition was held with Esther Fleming and Pat Moran pacing the field with a 238. Following were Jim McChesney and Roberta Mason, 235; plus Roger Vandevender and Ron Fleming, 225.
Plans for the cleanup of the Que Room and Games Manager's Office are complete. Volunteers are Bob Moran, Jimmy Myint, Dave Shaw, Stan Skylondz and Vandevender. Jane Skinner and Pat Moran will tackle the GM Office. Preparations are being made to start the fall/winter season with a clean slate.
