Update

Michael Marley, the subject of the missing person news release below, has been located. Marley was recovered earlier this evening in Raleigh, North Carolina, where he had apparently gone to visit a relative. Authorities there have taken Marley for a mental health evaluation.

The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help in locating a 33-year-old Ormond Beach man with a mental disorder who has been missing since Monday night, March 4.

Michael Marley drove away from his home at 320 Endora St. sometime between 9 p.m. and 10:15 p.m., according to a relative who lives with him.

The relative called to report him missing at 11:05 p.m. when she realized Marley was gone. He hasn’t been heard from since.

Marley, who hasn’t been taking his prescribed medication, is 5’10” and weighs approximately 175 pounds and has brownish-blond hair and blue eyes.

He’s driving a silver 2000 Mercury SUV with Florida license tag 7031HX, and was last seen wearing bluejeans, a gray shirt and a leather jacket.

Anyone with information regarding Marley’s whereabouts is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office or dial 911 to report the information.
