Team Volusia — a public-private partnership for economic development — got another $125,000 from the Volusia County Council this month.
The vote was unanimous to contribute the funds, and to extend the county's contract with Team Volusia to 2015, subject to annual approval.
County Council Member Pat Northey praised new Team Volusia President Keith Norden.
Norden took over the helm in October, after the agency's first president, Helen Cauthen, unexpectedly resigned in early 2012 to take a job in Virginia. Norden hit the ground running, Northey said.
