Community Foundation of East Central Florida wants to get to know you through a community brunch in Orange City. To sweeten the deal, the foundation is offering a chance to get family heirlooms or artwork appraised.
A youth art contest and exhibit will also brighten the event planned for 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday, May 5, at University High School, 1000 W. Rhode Island Ave.
The menu and food are being prepared by University High School culinary-arts students.
"Diane Mahoney, culinary-arts teacher and foundation board members and her culinary-arts students are preparing a fabulous meal," Community Foundation President Nita Schmellick said. Brunch will be served at 11 a.m.
Tickets for the brunch cost $25, and appraisals cost $10 for one item or three for $25.
For questions or reservations, call 386-734-4075, or send a fax to 1-877-214-7193 or an email to email@example.com. You can also visit the foundation's website at www.cfecf.org.
