A partnership between Stetson University students in a health-communications class and the Florida Health Department in Volusia County has resulted in two videos and two coloring books designed to teach healthful habits.
The collaboration came about after Health Department Director Dr. Bonnie Sorensen saw a video called "This Is Public Health" on the national website www.thisispublichealth.org.
She thought such a film could be produced locally, geared to Volusia County.
That led to conversations with Dr. Tara Schuwerk, who teaches Stetson's health-communication course.
The students were enthusiastic, Schuwerk told The Beacon.
