DeBary Hall rock concert set to raise money for roof repair
posted May 21, 2013 - 12:53:33pm
The Friends of DeBary Hall will host a benefit rock concert at 6 p.m. Saturday, June 8, at the DeBary Hall Historic Site, 198 Sunrise Blvd.
“Rock the Roof!” will feature the music of guitar virtuoso Brad Sayre, a barbecue dinner with all the fixings, a cash bar, drawings and prizes. A looping slide show of preservation efforts at DeBary Hall through the years also will be on display.
Tickets cost $45 per person and may be purchased by calling 386-668-3840. A limited number of tickets will be available at the door.
Proceeds will benefit the roof-restoration project at DeBary Hall, a 19th-century hunting lodge that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. More than $350,000 is needed to repair and restore the aging roof, which has sprung some leaks.
Tours of the historic hunting lodge and Imagidome Theater will require an additional admission price of $5 for adults, $4 for seniors, and $2 for children ages 3 to 12.
