A Deltona man the Florida Department of Law Enforcement booked on multiple child-pornography charges with no bond June 7 was out of the Volusia County Branch Jail the next day on $5,000 bond.
State investigators raided the Deltona home of Harold Price, who just turned 46, June 7.
"FDLE executed a search warrant at his home at [street number omitted] Roland Drive, Deltona, and located approximately 100 full length videos of children between six and 10 years of age," FDLE Communications Coordinator Linda McDonald told The Beacon during an email exchange.
Investigators booked Price into the Branch Jail on 10 counts of possession of a sexual performance by child and two counts of promoting the sexual performance of a child, under a "no bond" status.
At his first appearance the next day, however, a judge granted a bond of $5,000 that covered all charges. Price paid a bail-bond company and was released, a booking employee at the jail said. The employee was unsure which judge handled the case.
When Price was taken into custody, investigators said more charges could follow.
Spokeswoman McDonald said that would be up to the State Attorney's Office. Klare Ly of that office had no comment June 13.
McDonald couldn't confirm that investigators are aware Price is out on bond.
A search of FDLE's Florida Sexual Offenders and Predators database turned up no offender status for Price. A check of booking records indicated no prior arrests in Volusia County.
