Two years ago James "Jimmy" Ledford made his final phone call. As his life drained away on State Road 415, he reached out for his mom.
"He made a phone call to me telling me that he'd been run over, that he'd been hurt, hurt bad, and he thought he was dying," Bernice Mims, Ledford's mother said.
It was the last time she ever heard her son's voice.
Someone driving a dark-colored jeep or SUV a little after midnight June 13, 2011, hit Ledford and kept driving.
Mims and her family have asked the public to look into their memories and help them find the person who killed her son.
