While the cost of a tailgating ticket is still being determined by Stetson University, other costs associated with the arrival of collegiate football in DeLand are known.
One is the cost of the shuttle that will run between Downtown DeLand and Spec Martin Memorial Stadium on the six home-game days this season. The City of DeLand will pay for the bus, so long as there is a demand for the service.
The hope is that the hundreds of football fans expected to stream into town for the games will spend some money in Downtown DeLand before and after the action on the gridiron, especially if they can park easily in the center of town and get a ride to the stadium.
