To help raise funds for the American Heart Association’s annual Heart Walk event, Florida Hospital Fish Memorial hosted a royal baby shower for the community on July 10 in honor of Her Royal Highness Princess Kate and Prince William.
Guests enjoyed traditional English cucumber sandwiches, Queen Victoria sponge cake and scones with homemade strawberry jam and fresh cream at the Orange City hospital. English hot tea, lemonade or iced tea was also served.
Baby shower gifts, ranging from diapers to wipes, clothing and shampoo, were collected and donated to the Florida United Methodist Children’s Home.
The event raised nearly $500 for the Heart Walk, the American Heart Association's premiere event that aims to fight against America's No. 1 and No. 4 killers: heart diseases and stroke.
