The Taylor High School Wildcats started off with a roar Friday in their home game against Foundations Academy.
Previously struggling to score, Taylor's offense gained Riley Rodriguez, back for the first time in two weeks, who put some crucial points on the board.
Taylor was down 3-7 with five minutes left in the first half, and Rodriguez came through with an outstanding interception at the 10-yard line of Taylor's end zone.
Senior Roderick Matthews and junior Matt Henry both scored touchdowns in the third quarter, which gave Taylor the lead, 17-13.
During the fourth quarter, Taylor seemed to run out of steam and fell in the end in a 17-35 loss.
