The Great Haunted Hike is back! Gateway Center for the Arts, the City of DeBary and the West Volusia Regional Chamber of Commerce are working together to make a fantastic family event at Gateway Park, Saturday, Oct. 26.
The event begins at 5:30 p.m. Food vendors will be on hand for hungry Ghouls and Boils. Entertainment, face-painting, games, painting on easels, and a costume contest with cash prizes for children up to 12 years of age are all planned.
A hayride begins at 6:30 p.m. and the Haunted Hike through the trails of the park begins at dark, about 7:10 p.m. Everyone is invited to stay for an hour or all evening, until 10 p.m.
Wear a costume and have a grrrrreat time, the organizers advised.
All tickets cost $5 and will be available at the door. Ticket sales end at 9:30 p.m., and tickets are available in advance at Gateway Center for the Arts, 880 North U.S. Highway 17-92. Gateway Park is at the Gateway Center.
Volunteers are needed to help with the event, and candy donations are being accepted. Call Gateway Center for the Arts at 386-668-5553 if you are interested.
