On October 12, Halifax Health – Hospice of Volusia/Flagler was the recipient of the La Santa Maria Award from the Volusia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce during the organization’s 2013 Columbus Caravel Awards Dinner and Gala held at the DeBary Golf and Country Club.
The La Santa Maria Award is given to a non-profit organization that is a member of the Volusia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. The award recognizes programs that have made a difference in the lives of the people they serve; produce outcomes that exemplify innovation while always focusing on excellence; and serve as a model for other non-profits.
“Halifax Health – Hospice is extremely honored to receive this award. We are proud that our desire to provide exceptional service and support to our community is appreciated,” says Fran Davis, executive director of Halifax Health – Hospice.
In its second year, the Columbus Caravel Awards are given in recognition to chamber member businesses and individuals who have played a vital role in the Hispanic community at large.
