Without discussion, the Pierson Town Council voted unanimously Nov. 26 to restore an agricultural-and-rural residential designation on 18 acres owned by Town Council Chairman Samuel Bennett.
The vote was 3-0; Bennett abstained, as he had said he would, and Council Member Bobby Greenlund was absent.
The property on West Palmetto Avenue had been administratively designated for medium-density mobile home use after about 60 parcels were annexed into the town in November 2006.
