Duvall Home is pleased to announce the results of its 2014 election for the Board of Regents.
Kate Pearce, newly elected board chair said, “Duvall Home has a long history of serving individuals with developmental disabilities and I am grateful for the opportunity to honor their rich tradition and to be a member of the team that will help guide the Home into the future.” Assistant Vice President for University Relations for Stetson University, Ms. Pearce has served on the Duvall Home Board of Regents since 2010 and will assume her new position effective immediately.
Additionally, new board officers are vice chair, Randy Marshall, attorney at law, Marshall Law Office and Emilie Kimbrough, retired educator, who will serve as secretary/treasurer.
Duvall Home also welcomes newest board member, Tim Cook, chief executive officer for Florida Hospital DeLand. Previously, Mr. Cook served the Florida Hospital Heartland Division. Quality and patient safety scores were improved during his tenure, to place Heartland among the top 25 percent of all hospitals in the nation. He added new patient services including stroke and breast health centers and fully executed Computerized Physician Order Entry (CPOE).
Prior to joining the Heartland Division, Mr. Cook was CEO of Adventist LaGrange Memorial Hospital in Illinois. Rooted in healthcare, his career path has been highlighted by earlier responsibilities with Adventist Midwest Health. His roles there included vice president of development, regional vice president of human resources, risk management and customer service excellence, and chief operating officer.
“We are honored to work alongside this dynamic group,” said Steven DeVane, Duvall Home’s chief executive officer. “Their exceptional leadership and commitment will greatly influence an exciting new chapter in the Duvall Home story.”
