Mainstreet Community Bank of Florida (“Mainstreet”) reports a net profit of $2,327,787 for the calendar year ending Dec. 31, 2013. The earnings represent a 25-percent increase over 2012.
Mainstreet, which has four banking offices in West Volusia County (two in DeLand and two in Orange City) and a loan production office in Orlando, reported total assets of $237,330,834 as of Dec. 31, 2013.
Demand for loans was strong, and Mainstreet’s outstanding loans grew by almost 13 percent. Further, Mainstreet’s local deposit activity also increased for the year.
“The loan growth we experienced in 2013 shows that our bank is well-positioned, and is supportive of our communities’ banking needs while the economy continues to recover. Our customers recognize the value of banking with community-based financial institutions” said Mainstreet President/CEO W. Ben Flowers Jr. “We are honored that so many of our neighbors have put their trust in us.”
