Krewe Nouveau coordinates a revealing event in support of art
posted Apr 9, 2014 - 6:24:48pm
In support of the Museum of Art - DeLand, the organization Krewe Nouveau is hosting a special one-night event “Exposed: a body of art” at 8 p.m. Saturday, April 19, in the Artisan Alley Garage at 113 W. Georgia Ave. in Downtown DeLand. This event will spotlight professional artists and performers who specialize in various forms of revealing art.
Inspired by Orlando’s Nude Nite, highlights of the evening will be live performances by Bombshell Body Art, the Orlando burlesque troupe Peek-a-Boo, ceramic artist and Stetson University professor Sean Erwin, and works of art from about 20 juried artists — some of which will be available for purchase.
“We feel like we are bringing something new to DeLand that isn’t your typical form of entertainment,” said Dagny Robertson, Exposed event coordinator, “and exposing people to an intriguing form of art.”
Admission into the event costs $25, and includes hors d’oeuvres, craft beer from Persimmon Hollow Brew Company, and cash bars by Nest and Cafe Da Vinci. Guests must be 21 or over.
For tickets, visit KreweNouveau.com or contact Dagny Robertson at firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling 386-736-2242.
