The folks at Enterprise Preservation Society are busy preparing for a community barbecue and fish fry 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Saturday, May 17, at the Enterprise Heritage Center, 360 Main St.
The cost is $10 for adults — 12 years and older — and $5 for children. The menu includes “rockin’ ribs, poppin’ pulled pork and delicious fried fish,” Enterprise Preservation Society Chairwoman Carol Aymar said. Two homemade sides come with the dinner, along with roll and butter. Beverages will be available for purchase.
The event will include live music by Rog Lee, Enterprise’s award-winning singer-songwriter and swamp poet.
Proceeds from the event will benefit restoration of the old schoolhouse that is home to the Enterprise Heritage Center.
For advance tickets, call 407-324-3766.
