Two Orange City men, a father and son, are being held in the Volusia County Branch Jail with no bond. Each is charged with possession of child pornography.
Daryl Hunter, 52, and his son, Morgan Hunter, 21, of South Sparkman Avenue in Orange City, were the subjects of an Florida Department of Law Enforcement investigation that began in July and resulted in their Aug. 25 arrests.
Daryl Hunter had been charged with 15 counts of child pornography by the DeLand Police Department in July 2013, and was awaiting sentencing in connection with that case, when an FDLE investigation brought to light that computers in the Hunter home "were independently sharing images of child pornography," FDLE spokeswoman Gretl Plessinger stated.
As a result, FDLE agents served a search warrant at the South Sparkman Avenue residence and found "numerous images of child pornography," an FDLE report stated.
Volusia County Branch Jail records show Morgan Hunter charged with 10 counts of possession of sexual performances by a child. The records show that Daryl Hunter is charged with two counts of possession of sexual performances by a child.
No details of the investigation were released.
The cases will be prosecuted by State Attorney R. J. Larizza's office in the 7th Judicial Circuit, the FDLE report stated.
