West Volusia is not short on creativity and style, but it’s not every day that we meet a reality-television star.
Jo’Vonne Renee Collier, professionally and affectionately known as Javi Renee, has made her mark on the Black Entertainment Television (BET) network as one of the members of the newly premiered production The Grand Hustle, in partnership with Grand Hustle Productions.
The Grand Hustle was created and produced by Grammy Award-winning rapper, actor and entrepreneur Tip “T.I.” Harris and was released July 19.
Those who know Collier well, along with those who now can watch her creativity unfold on television, will agree there is no mistake when it comes to her passion for building and growing her brand.
“It’s very important for me to do the work, to not just be a small-business owner, but a well-established entrepreneur with successful businesses that will one day expand and create jobs for my community. Personally, I am most passionate about my family, the time I spend with them, and the memories we share,” Collier said.
Collier was born and raised in DeLand and was crowned “Miss DeLand 2017.” As a child, she had always wanted to be a fashion designer, interior designer and model. Her aspirations and drive have evolved into who she is today.
“Hustler by birth, school nurse by day and Reality TV personality by night, I am an entrepreneur, model, artist, creative mind and custom-clothing designer,” Collier said.
She aspires to have her Poppin Cosmetics line in major retail stores and is set on becoming a well-known custom-apparel and clothing designer.
Her story is representative of her drive toward success on The Grand Hustle, which gives 16 competitors the opportunity to compete for a six-figure salary within T.I.’s multimillion-dollar Grand Hustle business empire.
“I’ve seen the drive of Javi’s greatness many years ago. It didn’t fall far from the tree. Her whole family is very talented and creative. The love that she has for her mother is indescribable, and she is destined to be blessed. I’m thankful that I have met this very talented and incredible young lady,” said Junior Goosby, CEO of Hoodnews Global.
“Javi is genuinely passionate about her hustle. She is a sweet spirit and a breath of fresh air,” her close friend Arika Johnson said.
