The 18th annual DeLand Original Music Festival will take place 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, through 1 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 4. This monumental event features original music from more than 150 local and regional acts on 23 stages throughout Downtown DeLand.
The music festival is the largest one-day independent music festival in the Southeast. The event will also host the 2018 SSA Music Awards, which consists of honoring the SSA’s Songwriter of the Year, Band of the Year, Song of the Year, Instrumentalist of the Year, and Most Unique Style of the Year.
The festival features a wide array of musical styles for all ages, including rock, jazz, blues, country, bluegrass, hip-hop, electronica, industrial, folk, Christian rock, metal, reggae and more.
Other activities include an art show featuring more than 30 area artists, as well as a wide variety of various vendors.
There will also be a community drum circle in which the public is welcome to participate, and a family-friendly kids’ zone in front of the Volusia County Historic Courthouse on West Indiana Avenue.
Discounted advance tickets can be purchased for $10 online at www.ssa.cc, or at Steve’s Downtown Music in DeLand and Atlantic Sounds in Daytona Beach. Tickets on the day of the event cost $15. Children age 12 and younger will be admitted for free. The event is held rain or shine.
