Gateway Center for the Arts in DeBary will host its annual Members Show Jan. 13-Feb. 22. There are no entry fees.
The exhibit is open to all Gateway Center members in good standing. Artists may become members or renew memberships up to and including the days set aside to turn in their artwork.
Here are the rules:
Artwork cannot have been exhibited previously in the center’s galleries.
Artists are encouraged to submit two original works, ready for hanging using wire; no hooks or saw-tooth tabs.
There are no size limits for each piece, but the center may not accept work that is too difficult or dangerous to hang.
Free-standing work must be delivered securely and be ready to display, and must be easy to move by one or two people. The artist should provide a base if needed.
Artists may also submit up to five additional pieces, with unframed originals or reproductions to be displayed in artist print racks or bins throughout the galleries. These pieces must be flat and secured in protective film, with the artist’s name, the title of the artwork, and the price attached to the back of each piece.
Gateway Center will charge 30 percent on all work sold during the show.
Artists are responsible for insuring their work. The center is accepting artwork 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, and 4-6 p.m. Monday, Jan. 7. Pickup after the show is 10 a.m.-noon Saturday, Feb. 23, or Monday, Feb. 25.
