 Twelve local artists will display their rendered reflections of the 1968 fantasy novel A Wizard of Earthsea, written by Ursula K. Le Guin, in an exhibit running Tuesday, Jan. 22, through Saturday, Feb. 23, in the rotunda of the Thomas C. Kelly Administration Center, 123 W. Indiana Ave. in Downtown DeLand.

Art lovers can visit the participating artists and view their creations during a reception 9:30-11 a.m. Jan. 22.

The participating artists are Jean Banas, Nancy Hagood, Gertrude Havu, Kathy O’Meara and Joye Shaffer, all of New Smyrna Beach; Pamela Bleakney of Ormond Beach; Juliet Bullen-Dunbar of Palm Coast; Bridget Hanley Cohen, Linda Fisher, Elizabeth Siudock and Calandra Thurrott, all of Port Orange; and Peg Williams of Ponce Inlet.

The exhibition, coordinated by artist Margaret Schnebly Hodge, is part of the Volusia County Public Library’s National Endowment for the Arts Big Read, a six-week celebration of Le Guin’s novel.
