If you’ve had “A Hard Day’s Night,” and “All You Need Is Love,” then give a “Shout” because “Help!” is on the way! The McCartney Project, America’s No. 1 live concert tribute to Paul McCartney, Wings and The Beatles, takes center stage at the Athens Theatre in DeLand, for one night only, at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7.

The McCartney Project covers more than three decades of the most popular Beatles chart-toppers, through the monster hits of Wings, and more.

Each song replicates the authentic, iconic sound of Paul McCartney’s music. This is a fun, high-energy show, from the opening song through the closing encore. This family-friendly concert is a wonderful opportunity to introduce the kids or grandkids to Sir Paul’s unforgettable music.

Leading The McCartney Project is Tony Burlingame. He has been paying tribute to Paul McCartney for years, and bears an uncanny resemblance. His voice, mannerisms, and left-handed bass-playing, along with the very talented McCartney Project Band, deliver the ultimate McCartney experience.

“We work very hard at replicating the sights and sounds of Paul McCartney; we even have our own Linda,” said Burlingame. “People constantly tell us how our show connected them with their own great memories.”

Audiences will hear popular songs like “Eight Days a Week,” “Band on the Run,” “Lady Madonna,” “Hey Jude,” “Yesterday,” “Rock Show,” “Coming Up,” “Bluebird,” “Live and Let Die,” “Magical Mystery Tour,” “Say Say Say,” the “Golden Slumbers” medley, “Helen Wheels,” “Jet,” “Please Please Me,” “Get Back,” “The Long and Winding Road,” and many more!

Tickets cost $30 for preferred reserved seating (rows A-E, center) and $26 for general reserved seating. Ticket sales will be available online at www.AthensDeLand.com; at The Elusive Grape, 129 N. Woodland Blvd. in DeLand; or by calling the box office at 386-736-1500. Box-office hours are 1-5 p.m. Thursday-Saturday, and one-and-a-half hours before live performances.

The Athens Theatre is at 124 N. Florida Ave. in DeLand.

In 1979, they set out on a road trip that would define their lives, and would end with their taking up residence in DeLand. After working at the DeLand Sun News and the Orlando Sentinel 1979-92, Barb helped found The Beacon, and was appointed publisher and CEO in 2013. Since late 2004, Barb has also managed Conrad Realty Co.’s historic property in Downtown DeLand, where The Beacon is an anchor tenant.
