Detectives investigating drive-by shooting in DeLand

Deputies responded to the 900 Block of Gayle Drive, DeLand regarding 9-1-1 reports of shots being fired. When they arrived it was discovered that a vehicle, which was occupied by two (2) adult males, was shot into by the occupants of a passing vehicle described as a dark colored sedan. Thankfully no one was injured in the shooting. Detectives believe this incident was a result of an earlier confrontation between the two men and a group of unidentified males at Gators Dockside Restaurant.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office or Crime Stoppers. Updates will be provided as they become available.
