The 34th annual Keep DeLand Beautiful is coming up in April, and the DeLand Area Chamber of Commerce & Orange City Alliance is now accepting the registrations of teams who plan to take part.

A second-year cleanup event, Keep Orange City Beautiful, will be held the same day, Saturday, April 4, also from 8 to 11 a.m.

Teams composed of families, businesses, churches, groups and agencies will gather at Earl Brown Park, 750 S. Alabama Ave. in DeLand, and at Coleman Park, 210 E. Blue Springs Ave. in Orange City, to celebrate and compete in the eco-friendly, community wide cleanup of selected areas within West Volusia.

Bags, gloves and sanitizer will be distributed starting at 8 a.m. at the two starting points.

Judging starts at 10:30 a.m. at both parks for prizes for the most valuable and most unusual items collected.

Register your team for either cleanup by going to www.delandchamber.org and clicking on the event tab, then scrolling down to the event listing.
