Construction is nearly complete on the expansion of a manufactured home community near Downtown DeLand.
A Better Place, a premier all-ages manufactured home community owned by Garber Communities, is adding 45 new homesites, bringing the total size of the community to 152 sites.
Six new homes arrived on-site recently and will be move-in ready by December, according to a company news release. The award-winning, Champion-built homes feature three bedrooms, two baths, a spacious front porch, a carport and a shed.
“These homes were designed so residents can enjoy Florida outdoor living at its best,” Pete Wood, director of operations for Garber Communities, said in the release. “With homes starting at just $140,000 and with multiple financing options available, we’ve already seen a tremendous amount of interest, including several sales before the homes even arrived.”
On Saturday, Nov. 20, Garber Communities will be hosting an open house at A Better Place. New homebuyers will have the opportunity to purchase model homes or select a lot and customize a new home to fit their unique style and needs.
The second phase of new homes will be ready by spring 2022, and the third phase will be complete by summer 2022.
Along with the new models, the community’s landscaping is being completely reimagined into a lush, tropical oasis. Towering palms, magnolia trees and Japanese holly trees provide a gorgeous canopy of shade around the entrance, and beautiful pavers and a fountain have been added, according to the news release.
