To help provide a level playing field for female business owners, the federal government limits competition for certain contracts to businesses that participate in the Women-Owned Small Business Federal Contracting Program.
Joining the WOSB Federal Contracting Program makes a business eligible to compete for federal contracts set aside for the program. Firms can still compete for contract awards under other socioeconomic programs they qualify for.
Learn more about the program benefits and eligibility requirements, the certification process and other assistance through the Small Business Administration at sba.gov.
