Editor, The Beacon:
You know what’s missing in our town? A good dose of Old Glory flying.
You don’t see too many flags flying around town, and with all the veterans living here, this should be the “Town of Flags.”
The first thing I did when I came here was put a flagpole and flag up at the house I was living in.
I’m proud to be an American and a veteran, and when I built my house, before I even moved in, I put a flagpole and flag up … and it still stands and flies.
Can you tell me anything that’s more beautiful than our great American flag flying high on our own property? That’s telling the world that I am an American and free.
As long as the “Red, White and Blue” flies, we are free. Don’t you ever forget that.
