The intersection of West New York Avenue and North Florida Avenue going north is currently blocked off as City of DeLand Utilities Department crews repair a manhole. 

City Public Information Specialist Chris Graham said he did not know exactly how long the improvement would take, but does not expect the area will be closed for long. 

“Please make your travel plans accordingly,” an Oct. 20 social media post from DeLand city government said.
