About 100 customers, agents and community leaders celebrated the reopening of the office at 237 N. Woodland Blvd., in a building that has been the home of many other businesses over the years.

Bee Realty Corp’s office in Downtown DeLand is now officially open after an addition to and extensive remodeling of the building at 237 N. Woodland Blvd.

Mayor Bob Apgar helped owner/broker Bee Powell cut a ribbon Oct. 15 as about 100 customers, fellow agents and community members gathered around them.

“It’s always good when local businesses can grow and expand,” Apgar said before wielding the giant scissors. “[This office] is a welcome addition to Downtown.”

Powell thanked her staff members, her agents, her family and the builder who remodeled the building, Ken Goldberg Construction.

“Thank you. It is a great turnout, and I really appreciate it,” she said.

Entertainment for the ribbon-cutting ceremonies was provided by musician Bradford Buckley and the Bee mascot, and there was a food truck from Jimmy Hula’s, which will be opening an outlet next door in 2022.

Sponsors for the event were Home Team Lending, Celebration Title, and Integrity Home Inspections.

The reopened office is the second for Bee Realty Corp, which is headquartered at 118 W. Plymouth Ave., less than a mile north. The company opened a Deltona office earlier this year.

Bee Realty Corp specializes in the brokerage of Central Florida real estate properties, and maintains a high standard for customer service, communication and professionalism.

Powell started the company in 2012, and has overseen its growth ever since. The agents she has brought on have a wealth of knowledge and expertise about buying and selling real estate in Volusia County, Seminole County and east Lake County.
