The Hispanic Federation is bringing free Thanksgiving dinners to Pierson Friday, Nov. 19.
Free food will be distributed at the Farmworker Association at 111 Fountain Drive in Pierson. One hundred bags of food will be available, each bag with enough food to feed a family.
The event will also offer opportunities for COVID-19 vaccinations and testing. The Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccines will be available for all eligible individuals including children ages 5-11.
“At Hispanic Federation, we continue our effort to bring food that is to the taste and liking of our families,” Laudi Campo, Florida director of the Hispanic Federation, said. “We want to bring a message of support and dignity to our communities that have suffered so much historically and during this pandemic. It is time to give thanks for what we have and for staying united in the face of the challenges that life presents us.”
The event will take place 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 19, at the Farmworker Association in Pierson.
