SCORE’s “The Megaphone of Main Street: Unsung Entrepreneurs” report indicates 20 percent of business owners in the U.S. are first-generation immigrants.

In fact, first-generation immigrants, veteran entrepreneurs and encore entrepreneurs (those age 55 and older) contribute more to the economy than any other group. For the past 25 years, despite many challenges, these “unsung entrepreneurs” have contributed to entrepreneurship at a greater rate than the general population.

To learn more about what motivates and supports these entrepreneurs, SCORE conducted a detailed online survey in February 2021. See key findings from the survey and learn more about these small-business entrepreneurs at www.score.org/resource/megaphone-main-street-unsung-entrepreneurs.
