DeLand is talking trash with residents – literally.
Throughout the month of December, the city will be surveying residents seeking input on what they want for future trash and recycling services. Feedback received on the survey will allow the city to assess top priorities of residents such as recycling and overall costs. It will also be used to identify preferences of our residents and whether any services may be improved.
These factors will be considered in the city’s next contract for services provided by a trash and recycling hauler. The city’s current contract expires in September 2022.
A link to the 11 question survey will be listed on all of the bills of our utility customers and will be open through the beginning of January. A link to the survey may also be found on our website:
