Gov. Ron DeSantis recently announced three judicial appointments: one to the 7th Judicial Circuit Court, one to the Duval County Court, and one to the Palm Beach County Court.
Christopher Kelly, of New Smyrna Beach, was named to serve as judge on the 7th Judicial Circuit Court.
Kelly has served as a judge on the Volusia County Court since 2013 after he was elected in 2012. He received his bachelor’s degree from Florida State University and his law degree from the University of Florida.
Kelly, who started his new assignment Jan. 3, fills the vacancy created by the August passing of Judge Steven C. Henderson.
