Editor, The Beacon:
The drivers of West Volusia have forgotten what they learned in school.
They do not comprehend their numbers — the big black ones on the rectangular white signs.
They do not recognize their primary colors — red, yellow, green.
They do not remember their shapes — hexagon, triangle, rectangle.
Instead of intermittent written and eye exams, perhaps the Department of Motor Vehicles should require remedial kindergarten.
