DeLand needs another place for visitors to spread their wings

Editor, The Beacon:

There are angel wings in Persimmon Lane, airplane wings at the Skydive DeLand Drop Zone, bird wings at Lake Woodruff National Wildlife Refuge, and more wings at other places.

DeLand, a self-proclaimed monarch butterfly city, has no monarch butterfly wings. A mural on East New York Avenue portrays monarch butterflies.

The opportune place for a pair of monarch wings would be beneath the description in the mural.

It would be another place for visitors to spread their wings.
