The 72nd Annual Volusia County Cattlemen’s Association Cracker Day took over the Volusia County Cattlemen’s Arena Saturday, April 30.

The rodeo featured bull riding, barrel racing, and team roping plus a greased pig chase and boot scramble for the kids.

“Cracker day” refers to the Florida cowboys traditionally called “crackers,” for the cracking sound produced by their whips as they drove roving herds of cattle across the state.
