Gov. Ron DeSantis recently appointed Rachel D. Myers of DeLand to serve as judge in Volusia County Court.

Myers has served as the managing partner of Myers Law Group P.A. since 2016. Previously, she served as an assistant state attorney in the 7th Judicial Circuit and as a civil litigator with Landis Graham French P.A. before opening her own practice under her maiden name, Rachel Ebert.

Myers is a fifth-generation resident of Volusia County and an alumna of DeLand High School. She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida and her law degree from Liberty University.

Myers fills the judicial vacancy created by the elevation of Judge Christopher Kelly to the Circuit Court bench.
