PLAYING TO THE CROWD — Wrestler Jeff Hardy, pictured here at a WWE SmackDown taping in 2008, was arrested in Volusia County on DUI charges.

Professional wrestler Jeff Hardy was arrested in Volusia County early in the morning Monday, June 13. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, it’s the famous wrestler’s third arrest for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs in 10 years.

Hardy was arrested after Florida Highway Patrol officers were called about a white Dodge Charger spotted “swerving all over the roadway,” on Interstate 95 near DeLand, the arrest report stated. The wrestler was taken into custody with “no incident,” according to the Highway Patrol, but he was “unsteady on his feet” and unresponsive.

Hardy, who lives in North Carolina, is best known for his time in the World Wrestling Entertainment and Total Nonstop Action wrestling scene.

In the ring, Hardy was a regular member of the Hardy Boyz wrestling duo with his brother, Matt Hardy. The two, famous for their acrobatics, brought home big victories, like the WWE Raw Tag Team Championship in 2017 at WrestleMania 33.

Jeff Hardy has also wrestled with the moniker “Brother Nero,” and is known for his flamboyant costumes, his face paint and his willingness to be thrown from great heights.
