Tina Burdick, the DeLand franchisee of Hammer & Stain Workshop, hosted a five-day retreat of fellow owners recently. Forty-five franchisees from California to New England and many places in-between converged on DeLand in May, staying in local hotel rooms and frequenting DeLand businesses, Burdick told The Beacon.
Hammer & Stain Workshops is a DIY arts studio that helps individuals transform unfinished wood into beautiful pieces of art. Hammer & Stain supplies the materials and instructions for anything craft-related, Burdick said, and customers leave with a finished product.
