I have served with Chris Cloudman on the DeLand City Commission for six years, as well as on the Charter Review Committee and the Downtown CRA.

I have had a six-year job interview with Chris Cloudman, and I have made the decision to hire Chris Cloudman as mayor of DeLand. I have had a chance to see his passion, knowledge, preparation and dedication for DeLand.

Chris serves on many county and regional government boards representing DeLand, focusing on transportation, growth, environment and tourism.

Chris is a leader. He is a past president of Rotary, leading an organization whose motto is “Service Above Self.”

Chris understands the challenges that face our city. We need to plan for growth, have necessary infrastructure, grow our economy, maintain a lively Downtown, and keep DeLand a great place to live, work and play.

Chris is on record for voting against growth, when appropriate, with votes against allowing the developments at Lake Winnemissett, Beresford Woods and Beresford Reserve.

Chris is ready from day one, no on-the-job training needed.
