Members of the Volusia County Council cut the ribbon on a new one-mile hiking trail at Chuck Lennon Park, 5000 Greenfield Dairy Road, in DeLeon Springs.

The hiking trail was created to help reduce the amount of foot traffic on the existing bike trail at Chuck Lennon.

“Completion of the Chuck Lennon Hiking Trail is exciting for our visitors of the park,” Volusia County Parks, Recreation and Culture Director Tim Baylie said. “The addition will keep parkgoers safe and give our residents another reason to get outside and enjoy Volusia County.”
