A gentleman was making balloon animals for children July 30 as part of a back-to-school event in DeLand.

A long line of people was waiting, and a woman approached another woman in the line, said she was in a hurry, and asked if she could cut in line to get a balloon for her child.

The woman she approached agreed, but a 42-year-old woman in the line, who was pushing her child in a stroller, became angry and quarreled with the woman who allowed someone to cut in front of her.

At some point, the angry lady pushed her baby carriage forward, bumping the lady she was quarreling with.

When a DeLand police officer arrived, the woman who was on the receiving end of stroller mayhem insisted on being allowed to press charges, even though she had no visible injuries.

The Stroller-Pusher told the officer that she hadn’t intended for her baby carriage to strike the woman she’d been arguing with. She said she’d been trying to leave and that one of the tires on her stroller was facing in the opposite direction, thereby causing the carriage to hit the other lady.

The officer gave Stroller- Pusher a case card with a case number. So apparently she’s being charged with battery. Is it all much ado about nothing?

Or is the defendant a homicidal, stroller-wielding maniac? Imagine if she’d tried to strangle her adversary to death with a balloon animal

  1. Disgusting. Line breaker should get the boot and go to the back along with her “friend”. We’re all in a hurry, lady.
